remember i wrote about my experience shopping at gin & jacqie? well this is what i bought from them

it's exactly what i needed, and i love it!! actually i wanted the polka dots one but it's sold so i opt for the pink flowery whatever design and it's okay with me even though i don't really like pink

compartments at the outer part, i put stuffs like ribbons and unused needles

ni the inner part, zippered compartment to store small things like buttons, magnets and what nots

ni? label je.. :)

these are some of the junkies i have.. yup, some.. which i used to chucked inside a shoe box, masuk masuk tekan tekan tutup kotak.. now no longer doing that as my sewing notions n ribbons n stuffs suma teratur.

this morning i went to office to get a few things and decided to go visit fara at putrajaya hospital. alang-alang dah keluar kan. but baby adam had a few complications and he's now at the NICU ward. cuma dapat tengok dari tingkap je. mama fara was like a prisoner and i was her visitor, communicating using sign language of 'how are you?', 'is everything okay?' before realizing that there's actually an opening (some kind of sliding glass) where we can actually hear each other.

so adam, u better be a good boy okay! and kind to your mama, and me too. and soleh, and don't have girlfriend until you're at uni. okay?? u better be.

i would say i like all the them but the two i like most are:

1. Craft and Sewing Basket

As you can read at my blog, lately I'm falling in love with sewing that I even got myself a sewing machine. I have loads of cloths, sewing materials, supplies and instruments which I just chucked into a shoe box. At my very own house, I sew practically everywhere. In my bedroom, sometimes at the living room while watching tv, I'll cut the materials and I use my sewing machine in the store room. The only problem when I sew everywhere in the house is that I tend to leave things, or dropped things here and there due to the cuteness of my box. And taking my sewing stuff for travel is such a hassle as I don't have a proper storage box to keep them. But this craft and sewing basket from Gin & Jacqie is truly something for me. It has numerous compartments where I can keep my notions and carry them around, anywhere. For smaller items like buttons, I can store them in the zipper compartments so the buttons won't fall off. The best thing about this basket is the Velcro dividers which can be removed if I need to keep something big in the basket and the divider can be adjusted according to the size I want.

2. Tropical Organized Jacq

Switching handbags can sometimes be very troublesome and problematic. I switch my handbag on a weekly basis or according to the outfit on the particular day, and removing one thing after another, needing to make sure that I have put every single thing in the new bag is really really tiring, but yeah I'l still doing it. :) Sometimes I ended up leaving behind my tiny lip balm, sometimes my favourite pen, and the worst was my office keys. A bag organizer such as this cute Tropical Organized Jacq is really useful for people like me. It has 11 compartments to store my stuffs like my purse, handphone, keys, make-ups, shades and some pens! Put everything in the organizer, and chuck in the handbag and you're ready to go. found an interesting set of to do list from bread of many. not the typical, common to do list, this set provides you with a page where you can write why were you procrastinating. yeah, write it there and later we'll see how lazy we can be at times, and how brilliant we were with our excuses.

surgery & kpj selangor

i'll be warded at kpj selangor today for a ct scan and a surgery tomorrow, so yesterday i was there to meet my doctor and to settle the pre-admission stuff. you see, pre-admission tu gunanya untuk memudahkan patient so that on the day itself when the patient needs to be warded, the patient won't have to wait forever for the hospital to settle with the insurance company.

i'm not sure if that's a normal practice at hospitals, but i know at demc this won't happen. the officer made me running around, to admission unit, back to the specialist clinic, back to gl verification unit to get the form, which no one knows or sure of. pegi admission, suruh pegi gl verification, pegi sana the lady went angry because i didn't bring the form, when i asked what form she said the assistant at the clinic should know and told me to get it from her, i went to the assistant and she got no idea of which form to fill up. and this lady kept on telling me to do it fast so they can settle everything by yesterday.

but then, after chasing and sending me here and there, until now they still haven't submit anything to my insurance company.

i am so effing mad and i am so going to report this. if it's up to me, i will just do it at demc, tapinyaaa kpj tu ielah hospital panel. gila tertekan.

on the third day of shawwal we managed to have a small bbq parteyyy

my bil went high n low searching for ayam while the rest of us waited at home

lepas maghrib baru usaha nyalakan api

by isya' baru keluar cari arang lain since arang tu macam tak lut api je

so imagine sendiri la pukul berapa dapat makan semua

dua pembakar gigih

we had prawns, squids, lambs, beef, chicken, salmon for opah

tempat bbq pun sekecil alam, nak cater for 13 pax

pencuci mulutnya ialah nanas gula, and pisang gula bakar

makan time, they all got tired so makan pun ala-ala je

moi didn't do the kipas job as i went out to find arang hehehe

i thought okay that's good, so he knows that mercun thingy is dangerous
but that thought lasted for only for a few seconds
he said he wants mercun naga instead

balik kampung~*

for this year's eid, plus is going to open up the emergency lanes at some areas to ensure that the traffic is smooth for us to balik kampung. aaa but i don't think i'll be using it as it'll be hard to merge into 2 lanes later. you can check out the emergency lanes that will be opened during hari raya at this page. 

however, there are some people who disagree with this idea. tapi kan, whether or not the emergency lane is opened for drivers, there will always be selfish drivers who just couldn't wait, couldn't queue like any other drivers, who will use the emergency lanes with or without permission. please at any time don't use the emergency lane (unless it's really emergency la) and then later bila nak masuk lane yang betul menyusahkan orang lain. it's funny that we are more scared of the police rather than the idea of us, dying from accident.

she's reported missing with her lawyer and driver since august 30 as she didn't come home after going for site visit at banting, selangor. wherever she is, hopefully she'll get to be with her family soon for shawwal. the children need her as she's a single parent.

how to avoid temptations? or best, how to face temptations?

during my trip to bangkok last week, i had to face quite a few of them. most of the people there are not fasting of course, so at the market they are selling all types of food and i myself is a sucker for thai desserts. walking across the jatujak market, i can see people selling coconut ice cream under the hot sun, fresh cut fruits and so many other delicacies which i know are yummies. but yeah, the tempting foods are not that hard to avoid as we are used to it already. and the old siam plaza, there were having like a food festival or something and the dessert are so tempting!

but the hardest thing for me is to ignore the shopping temptations! the clothes there were super cheap, and you can get a much cheaper price compared to some blogshops selling the very same item. walking through the market took us quite a long time as i really really had to stop at every stall to check on their price and went "owhhh this is cheap!" and "wooww i want this!!"

and the handcrafts section is another story. i found so many things suitable for wedding favors, and i started to wonder is bandung like this too? is it easy to find such cheap & cute & useful favors there too? 

sorry my companions as i took a very long time to decide on what i want, no? :) luckily they were very patient and helpful and didn't bother walking around and going to the same row again and again. thanks guys, you are the best!! owh but partner, you are the best of the best shopping companion ever :)

here's a great, easy peasy tutorial by nicky from salty pineapple on how to make a headband holder. i'd say it's practical, u can hang it in your closet, save some space on your dressing table, easier for you to pick which headband or hair clip matches your outfit. and most importantly, it's simple.

i'm safely home and terribly missing loads of things back there and of course people too.. *cough* 

thailand is way beyond my expectation, my hosts were very kind and very very helpful. and i'm so looking forward to be there again pretty soon perhaps to shop for my wedding :)

semalam elok touch down je kat klia, i got a message from my housemate a.k.a my sister telling that she's leaving to ampang park with my other sister to do some eid shopping. well, i don't want to have my iftar alone so from klia off to shah alam, tido jap before going to wangsa walk for iftar with the ladies. 

we had ayam penyet, specifically ayam penyet ria that my sister is so proud of. dia kata sedap gila like sedap dari wong solo. but then, lepas rasa wong solo is still my favorite :)
