beware ladies! (long post)

as we all know (or saya je tau?) i managed to gather enough lovely buyers to share purchasing the maysaa scarves so that we can get the free delivery from uk. i placed my order last week and by friday, i received a call from this Y company saying that my package had arrived but it's being held at custom. i expected this to happen before and talked to the linkqueen about it but we thought it's going to be like rm200 after pleading and all. but the lady told me that i have to pay a total amount of rm866.43 for duty tax and clearance fee. terkejut gila lah why do we need to pay that much? as i was on my way to somewhere, i told the lady to put everything on hold and when i get back to office on monday, i'll give her a call and settle everything on my own.

so, come monday and i called the number given to me to ask which custom office should i got to, to settle the issue. a friend told me that i go on my own and explain that my purchase was meant for personal use, they would reduce the tax to a certain amount. but the guy said that he cleared everything, paid the tax and i just need to pay him the exact amount that was told on friday. i was shocked to hell, thinking of the people who shared the purchase with me and how was i supposed to break the news. seriously i was so effing mad. he can just say that his mother (the lady who called me) told him that i told her to go ahead.

my friend was kind enough to help, calling her father's friend at custom office and one lady there helped by calling this company asking how was he able to get my stuff from custom without my signature. he said, i told him to go ahead. yeah, that's what he's been repeating for thousand times. that i told him to go ahead. if i told him to go ahead, i won't go this far, calling here and there to clear things up! when i told him that what he did was wrong, and that i can lodge a report against him, he said "nak report, report lah". just like that?? 

i was about to give up, so i asked my friend to talk to him to ask when can he deliver the package to me. and things went mad, my friend has a super 'hot' argument with him and he pun sibuk want to lodge a police report claiming that we were harassing him and accused him for being a liar. bla bla bla my friend slammed the phone on him. but i bet he was scared of my friend haha because lepas tu he asked him mom to do all the talking. mesti rasa macam gila betul perempuan-perempuan ni.

she called, and when i asked her what was my word that gave her the idea of 'go ahead' she said because i told her that i will settle. the word settle to her means go ahead. does settle means go ahead to you my kind readers? because i don't seem to have the same understanding here.

the best part was, she told me that she made a few calls and managed to get a discount yesterday. so the amount was reduced to half. when i got the receipt (we purposely request for the receipt so we know exactly how much they paid to custom) they actually got the discount on the day itself (9/10/10)! it was written on the receipt. and she had the guts to tell me that she made a few calls yesterday (11/10/10) and get the discount!

so readers, if you live somewhere in subang or shah alam area, you ordered something from the overseas and your parcel got stuck at the custom, and this company called y** distribut*** gave u a call, please be very very careful. Ask for the receipt, if possible tell him that you will go on your own and don't use the word SETTLE ok, unless it means pay to you. 

you think i should write to maysaa? and inform them about this courier company?
